Over the past 72 hours I’ve been testing a viral traffic resource. I used a similar version of this several years ago with fantastic results. I was thrilled to discover this one. It’s similar to the previous one. However, this one has been greatly improved upon which makes it perform even better.
If you have a blog, Twitter account, web page, lead capture page etc. Really any URL you want to drive free viral traffic to, you need to LQQK at this… http://jijr.com/Rqj. I’ve tracked my results and am very pleased with them.
A few tips to help you get the upper hand using this viral traffic resource:
Here’s the basic concept:
You visit this link and create an ad. Now before I give you the link, let me give you some creative ideas to help you maximize this video traffic strategy. Most people who use this to drive site traffic will simply plug in their blog or web site address. Some will plug in a link directly to a single video on YouTube perhaps. However, I suggest you plug in a link to your Twitter page or your YouTube channel, or even your lead capture page. This way you are creating more opportunity for yourself in terms of more followers, subscribers etc.
After you plug in your ad and enter a short description, you are given a unique URL to promote. You will notice that your ad appears at the top of the other ads displayed on the page.
As people visit your page they will easily understand this concept and sign up for their own page for the same reason you (and each of the others) did. However here’s where things start getting exciting.
As they start sharing their URL (with their ad in the number one position) your ad will be listed in the number two position! This means your ad is displayed as one of the links every person much click to view before they continue to create their own page.
Now do you understand why I suggested using a squeeze page or something to give you more advantage over those who don’t? I hope you do because this is extremely powerful.
As each new person comes along and signs up for their own page, you get promoted along with them. This process continues through five levels!
Now suppose you had a channel on YouTube with several video clips in it. Instead of linking to only one video, put the link to your channel instead. This way you stand to get people subscribing to your channel and thus seeing all of your videos as you upload them to your channel.
Another example is to create a lead capture page where you offer something of perceived value such as a special video about __________. Or you could offer an ebook or PDF report etc.
If you don’t have a good lead capture page creating tool, here’s the one I use. It allows you to track all sorts of neat stuff and is super easy top use. http://tinyurl.com/cztkbs
Ok, so here’s the link to create your own URL to promote…
Click the link and set up your own URL. You can also edit the ad any time in the future if you ever need to change it. So this also gives you many options as well.
What can you expect from this? Well, in less than 24 hours after sending it to just my Twitter followers, I had over 70 views. That’s pretty darn good considering it was f.r.e.e and I know those 70 people saw my site. I also picked up several subscribers. It works bottom line.
Here’s a great strategy for using this tool.
1) Copy this link on to your desktop.
2) Once per week create a new URL with a new ad for one of your products, services, BizOps, Twitter accounts etc.
3) Send the link out to your Twitter followers, blog readers, list subscribers etc.
What this will do is create an Army of people who are each helping you promote your links!
On Twitter there are millions of people who are each looking to discover more effective ways to drive traffic to their sites. You can use this clever tool to give them a way to do it. However, with this strategy you also get to tag along!
Let’s say you send this to your followers and some of them have several thousand followers each. And out of those let’s say a couple hundred people jump on this concept and start promoting their own link with your ad in the number two spot. Can you imagine what would happen?
Let’s say a few key people who have large blog readerships do the same thing. And what about some people who have large lists of subscribers who get excited about this. You stand to get some pretty significant traffic. Not bad huh?
If you’re using a Twitter application that sends an automated DM with a “thanks for following” message, this is a great place to list your link. In fact if you wanted to you could create a Twitter account just for attracting people who are looking for ways to drive site traffic and set it up to send them your URL and the auto DM message. Here’s the tool I use to manage multiple Twitter accounts.
What I love about this tool is how easy it is to manage multiple accounts and to see them all on the same screen without having to log in and out of each one. It also allows you to auto follow and auto unfollow as well as send scheduled tweets and so much more. It’s really super cool.
